Description
Port Ellen 1983 25 Year Old Cask #4717 Provenance is a rare single cask Islay malt from Douglas Laing’s McGibbon’s Provenance range. Distilled in winter 1983 and bottled in autumn 2008, this 25 year old Port Ellen comes from a sherry butt and represents one of the increasingly scarce independent bottlings from the distillery’s final production year.
Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered, and without artificial coloring, this release brings together mature Islay smoke, sherry cask depth, oak, coastal salinity, and the austere old-school character that made Port Ellen a cult name. The original carton is included.
