Oddero is a leading Piedmontese estate, based in Santa Maria in the La Morra district of Barolo. As well as an envious number of Barolo DOCG labels, the estate produces numerous wines from the wider region.
The estate boasts roughly 35 hectares (86 acres) of vineyard – just under half of which are Barolo vineyards planted to Nebbiolo. This includes holdings in some of Barolo's unofficial "cru" vineyards, including Vigna Rionda in Serralunga d'Alba, Mondoca di Bussia Soprana in Monforte d'Alba, Brunate in La Morra, and Villero and Rocche di Castiglione in Castiglione Falletto.
Barolo is a traditional village in Piedmont, northwest Italy. The hills of the surrounding area have long been famous for producing fragrant, tannic red wines which take its name. These are made entirely from the Nebbiolo grape variety.
