Bruichladdich Yellow Submarine [Reclassified] 25th Anniversary 14 Year Aged 700ml

The return of a Bruichladdich legend, Yellow Submarine [Reclassified] is a limited release to celebrate the 25th anniversary and the submersible still standing proudly in the distillery grounds today. 14 aged years, the latest release in this iconic series opens opens with notes of crème brûlée, toasted hazelnut and warming nutmeg punctuated with fresh citrus and a hint of sea salt.

The "Yellow Submarine" name pays homage to an infamous piece of distillery folklore from 2005. Local Islay fishermen discovered a bright yellow, remote-controlled Royal Navy submersible off the coast near the distillery's warehouses. It was stored safely at Bruichladdich until the Ministry of Defence retrieved it. The distillery celebrated the bizarre event by creating a "Whisky of Mass Distinction" series, gifting bottles to the fishermen and the naval crew.
