Auvigue Pouilly Fuisse 1er Cru La Frerie 2020

Auvigue Pouilly Fuisse 1er Cru La Frerie 2020

The Domaine Auvigue winery is one of the most prestigious and respected Pouilly's wineries, located in the south of Burgundy. They produce Mâcon Fuissé, Pouilly Fuissé, and Saint Veran wines of the highest level quality with vibrant Chardonnay fruit. To allow each parcel to fully express its own personality and unique microclimates, they always adapt the winemaking process to the specific characteristics of the plot.

The organically grown grapes come from old vines cultivated in 3 plots, characterized by sedimentary rocks of clayey-limestone and flint type of the Cretaceous era. The plots, located in the village of Solutré, have been declared 1er cru starting in 2020. After the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine spends 11 months on the lees in oak barrels.

The Pouilly Fuisse La Frerie shows a golden color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it is very expressive with delicate aromas of white flowers, orange peel, brioche, and vanilla notes. On the palate, it is a fine and dynamic wine with great freshness, lively acidity, great minerality, and a full body.
